I watched the last Merlin episode. Heartbroken doesn't even begin to describe it. D; So I painted a modern!AU as a kind of catharsis - from an old sketch of one of derryere's most epic fics. Although maybe I just wanted a chance to draw emo!Merlin haha WHO KNOWS.
A beautiful ending to a show that was frequently silly but, at its core, full of heart. I miss it already.

I can't tell you how much I love this amazing artwork - my heart broke every time I saw it (and it's my desctop pic) but than it heals a little more because my believe in the reunion grew
